We offer a wide variety of fitness classes for people of all fitness levels including Bootcamp, Zumba, Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Tai Chi. Get fit and join us!

SilverSneakers® Fitness Program

The JCC on the Cohn Campus offers a variety of classes for seniors with the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program, an innovative health, exercise and wellness program helping older adults live healthy, active lifestyles. Get fit, have fun, make friends! We offer SilverSneakers classes including YogaStretch, Muscular Strength & Range of Movement, and Silver Splash.

20-20-20

A complete workout…This class is split into three 20 minute segments. 20 minutes of rhythmic flow warm up, 20 minutes of dance and 20 minutes of toning/pilates. All levels welcome.

 

Circuit Workout

Combining strength training with cardio intervals, this class is a great way to burn fat while building lean body tissue.

 

Hatha Yoga

Traditional Hatha Flow Yoga – poses taught in a gentle flow to accommodate all levels & abilities.

 

*Israeli Krav Magra

This class is for men, women and teenagers seeking empowerment, confidence and strength. It relies on natural responses and gross motor movements to successfully defend and immediately counter-attack any threat. $10.00 per class for members. $12.00 per class for non-members. Meditation (NEW!)

This guided meditation experience engages all of your senses for a profound relaxation and inner peace. Includes visualization, sounds of harmony aromatherapy and self-healing touch.

 

Pilates

This class focuses on strength and flexibility of the major muscle groups. The exercises combine core activities and breathing/relaxation. Instructor may use additional equipment such as stability balls or resistance bands to enhance movements. All levels welcome. Bring your mat and towel.

 

Silver Sneakers Classic Mon. - Wed
Silver Sneakers Classic Friday

Move with the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and range of motion. Hand held weights, elastic tubing and a ball are used for resistance. All levels welcome.

Silver Sneakers Splash 

A water fitness program designed to enhance your quality of life and daily functioning. This program utilizes the physical properties of the water to enhance agility, cardiovascular conditioning. With the use of kick boards, you will develop strength, balance and coordination in a format that is safe, fun and effected. All ages welcome!

 

Silver Sneakers Yoga

This class will move your whole body through a completed series of seated and
standing yoga poses, and will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of motion. All levels welcome!

 

 

Stretch & Flex

A great way to keep or to achieve flexibility by lengthening muscles and holding a position to gain a more limber YOU.


 

 

Tai Chi

A mind/body movement adaptable for persons of various ages and fitness levels. Research
indicates improvement in breathing, balance, flexibility, strength, concentration and calmness.

 

 

Vinyasa Yoga

For body, mind & soul. A fun & challenging workout to help you de-stress. All levels
welcome!
